Jimmy Cape

Jimmy Cape, 88, of Easley, went to be with the Lord Saturday January 12, 2013 surrounded by family.
Mr. Cape was born in Lavonia, Georgia, the son of the late James Rabun and Gertrude Pearman Cape. He retired from Woodside Mills in Easley and later worked at Garrett's Department Store and The Robinson Company. He was a faithful member of Easley Church of God where he was a member of the Carl Cape Sunday School Class, the Senior Citizens Group and was church organist.
He was the last member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by brothers, Carl W. Cape, Lonnie Cape and Lee Cape and sisters, Lucille C. Hampton and Myrtie C. Wolfe.
Surviving is a niece, Debbie Lyles and her husband Oby and their son, Garrison, and several other nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many beloved and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Reverend Dr. David Sustar officiating. Entombment will follow in the Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
