Jimmy Kwan, 87, of Easley, beloved husband of Sylvia Kwan, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Born on December 14, 1938, in Hong Kong, he was the son of the late Mr. Kwan Sui Sang and the late Mrs. Kwan Lo Chi Sung.
Jimmy will be remembered as a devoted husband, a great father, and a faithful friend. His presence in the lives of those around him was marked by reliability, devotion, and enduring care. He gave the people close to him the gift of steadfastness, an example that will leave a lasting impression forever.
Jimmy was a man of faith and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was a man of deep character and steady principles. He was always punctual and never broke a promise, and those who knew him regarded him as a man of his word. Traditional and stoic in nature, he carried himself with quiet strength and consistency throughout his life.
Among the simple pleasures he enjoyed were watching Chinese shows and savoring coffee ice cream. His favorite restaurant was Golden Corral. These familiar comforts were part of the life he made his own and will remain tender memories for those who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Chow.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Kissler (Chris).
The family held a private memorial service to honor him.
Jimmy Kwan will be remembered with respect, love, and gratitude for the life he lived and the unwavering person he was.
