Jimmy Frank Merck

Rev. Jimmy Frank Merck, 84, retired Baptist minister passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 in Brevard, NC.
Rev. Merck was born in Pickens County, SC a son of the late Frank Jefferson and Vera Dodd Merck. He was a graduate of Fruitland Bible College in Hendersonville, NC and pastored many churches in the western North Carolina area.
Surviving are brothers, Heuston Merck, Leon Merck all of Six Mile and Richard Merck of Easley; grandsons, Kelly Pratt of Auburn, NY, and Nathan Pratt of Utica, NY; 4 great-grandchildren; and special friend Ellen Gossett of Boiling Springs, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Alice McCall Merck; and a daughter, Cathy Lynn Merck; and granddaughter Sarah Pratt.
Graveside services will be 2 PM, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Kings Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Ray Merck officiating.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic it is requested that facial coverings be used and social distancing protocols be observed.
