James Burgess "Jimmy" Spearman, Jr., 68, husband of Cecilia Houston Spearman, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, the son of the late James Burgess Spearman, Sr. and the late Louise Jones Spearman, Jimmy was a 1972 graduate of the Citadel, retired from the US Postal Service, and was a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was a US Army veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of forty-six years, are a son, Chad Spearman of Easley; a daughter, Megan Spearman of Easley; a sister, Wanda Lee Hill of Easley; and two grandchildren, April Spearman and Derek Harbin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Carmel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. John LeHeup officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the residence.
