Jimmy Bruce Swaney, 78, of Seneca and formerly of Clemson, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 and is now resting peacefully with his Heavenly Father.
Jimmy was born in Anderson County a son of the late Clarence M. and Alma Duncan Swaney. For 59 years he was married to the "love of his life", Jackie Cartee Swaney. Jimmy was a legacy, a Godly, loving man of the community. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church, a church he loved and was proud to serve as a Deacon. Bro. Jimmy Bruce Swaney was a member of Pendleton Lodge #34 A.F.M. He was the longtime owner and manager of Tiger Town Services.
Left to carry on his Legacy are his daughter Sandra Dobson and her husband, Hank of Pendleton, daughter, Deirdre Rizk and her husband Joey of Sandy Springs, son, Bruce Swaney and his wife, Lynette of Central, son, James Swaney and his wife, Angie of Townville, and daughter, Kimberly Swaney Shead of Seneca. He was a loving brother to Joan Kelly and her husband, Willis of Anderson; and was the loving rock and grandfather "Poppie" of 17 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by sisters, Francis Brown, Mildred Taylor, Doris Craft and Onnie Melvin.
Funeral services will be 2:30, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Faith Fellowship in Pendleton with Revs. Sammy Duncan and David Kay officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.
The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM, Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
