Jo Ann Henson Taffer, 83, loving wife to Frank Ronald Taffer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29th, 2017, at her home.
Born in 1934, a daughter to the late Grady Allen Henson and Myrtle Bryson Henson, Mrs. Taffer was retired from IBM after over 35 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. She was a cherished member of Welcome Baptist Church in Greenville and was a charter member of Crosswell First Baptist Church in Greenville.
She loved church, reading, Clemson football, spending time at the lake and most importantly, spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by a son, Ronald Allen Taffer (Allison) of Easley; a daughter, Pam Knight (Donnie) of Mauldin; five grandchildren, Kimberly Knight, Matthew Knight, Grant Taffer, Anna Taffer, and Daniel Taffer; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Roebers and Drew Taffer.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Elbert Henson, and Robert Henson; and her sister, Addie-Lou Henson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in the Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642
Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crosswell First Baptist Church, 219 S Fishtrap Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.
