Jo Ellen Johnson Gibson

Jo Ellen Johnson Gibson, 84, wife of Floyd Alfred Gibson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Easley, the daughter of the late Curtis Marvin Johnson and the late Ruth Couch Johnson, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley

 In addition to her husband of sixty-seven years, she is survived by a son, Dr. F. Brian Gibson (Mary) of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren, William Taylor Gibson (Rebecca) of Rochester, MN, Andrew James Gibson (Effe) of Charlotte, NC, and Claire Elizabeth Gibson (Matt Sterling) of Portland, OR.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Bell Tower Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
