Jo Wilson

Jo Talley Wilson, 63, of Greenville, South Carolina, beloved wife of Charles “Terry” Wilson, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026.

Born on December 24, 1962, in Gaffney, South Carolina, to the late James “Roy” and Betty Hyatt Talley.

Jo was a graduate of Gaffney High School, Class of 1981, and USC Upstate. Jo earned a degree in Computer Science. Throughout high school and college, she worked at Community Cash Grocery Store in Gaffney, SC. After graduating college, Jo began her professional career with First Piedmont Federal in Gaffney, South Carolina. In 1989, she began working as a Programmer Analyst with American Federal Bank, a position that not only launched her career in technology but also introduced her to many friends who remained an important part of her life.

In 1997, Jo joined Ahold, where she worked in Computer Operations for 10 years. She then continued her career with Bi-Lo / SEG, serving as an Automation Engineer and later as Supervisor of IT Operations. After 15 years with the company, she retired in August 2025.

While Jo took great pride in her career and the many people she met along the way, the things she loved most were found outside of work. She enjoyed days at the beach, soaking up the sun, camping, traveling, cheering on her Carolina Gamecocks, and spending time with her family and friends. Jo treasured the memories made on trips around campfires and at the beach. In 2025, Jo and Terry embarked on a special journey out West, traveling through several states, including Nevada and Arizona. Together, they explored new places, enjoyed unforgettable experiences, and created beautiful memories that Terry will cherish in his heart and remember forever.

Jo is survived by her husband of 5 years, Terry Wilson; her stepdaughters, Jennifer Lavoie (Mike) and Tessa Wilson; her sister, Elaine Patteson; her brother, Eddie Talley (Carla); her nephews Matt Talley (Laura), Wesley Talley (Emily), Graham Talley (Anna), and Drew Talley; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and the amazing village of friends who loved and supported her throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Talley.

Jo leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, laughter, and memories that will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home- Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642, officiated by Reverend Michael Proctor.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
