Joan Burgess Chandler

Joan Burgess Chandler, 84, wife of Charles Kenneth Chandler, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2018.

Born in Greenville, a daughter of the late Grady Lee Burgess and the late Maude Carol Burgess, Mrs. Chandler was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her loving husband, are a son, Charles Kenneth Chandler, Jr. of Powdersville; a sister, Carolyn Boling (Tommy) of Anderson; a grandson, Jacob Michael Chandler of Powdersville; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jason, Emma, and Lyla Chandler.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Chandler was predeceased by brothers, John and Grady Burgess; a sister, Doris Burgess; and a grandson, Justin Kenneth Chandler.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. , Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the church, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
