Joan Collins

Brenda Joan Howe Collins, 59, of 194 McGaha Road, died Friday, February 29, 2008, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Clayton Albert and Margie Alice Stancil Howe, Mrs. Collins retired as Office Manager with GBS Lumber Company, and was a member of Enon Baptist Church where she belonged to the Quest for Knowledge Sunday School Class, and was also the assistant organist. She loved helping shut-ins of the church by preparing and delivering soup to them.
Surviving are her husband, Aron Lester Collins of the home; three sons, Richard Collins and wife, Mary, Greg Collins and close friend, Sherri, and B.J. Collins and close friend, Stacie, all of Easley; four sisters, Lucille Pilgrim of Woodruff, Reba Grant, Martha Johnson, and Mary Misner, all of Easley; seven grandchildren, Justin Collins, Kristin Collins, Jake Collins, Megan Mauldin, Mallory Collins, Jaron Collins and Jordan Collins; and two great-grandchildren, McKayla Gillespie and Drake Mauldin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was predeceased by three brothers, Doyle Franklin Howe, Sr., Coy Howe and Billy Howe, and by two sisters, Lois Dickard and Janice Ridley.
Private graveside services will be Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Josh Jennings and Rev. Greg Russ officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Department of Enon Baptist Church, 871 Enon Church Road, Easley, SC 29640.
