Mrs. Joan Hentz, wife of the late Olin Hentz, went to join the Lord and her husband, Olin on April 29, 2017, at Foothills Presbyterian Home in Easley.
Born in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Alice Weidel.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Sheri Smith (Mark) of Easley; a son, Olin Hentz (Kathy) of Plainville, CT; Grandchildren, Christopher Smith (Teri) of Durham, NC, Elise White (Drew) of Homer, AK, Ellen Riley Stallings (Zach) of Willis, TX , Michael Riley of Burlington, CT, and Will Erhardt of Plainville, CT; and son- in- law, Tim Riley of Burlington, CT.
In addition to her parents and loving husband of 50 years, She was preceded in death by daughters, Kimberly Hentz Riley and Lisa Ann Hentz.
Joan Hentz had lived in Keowee Key prior tp moving to the Presbyterian Home in 2011. She and her husband enjoyed entertaining and travel before his death in 2005. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She had a love for shopping and she is known for her quick smile and gracious, loving nature.
A Memorial Service will be held at University Lutheran Church in Clemson on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 2:00 PM.
