Joan Marie Hightower Taylor

 

Joan Marie Hightower Taylor, 65, of Pendleton, wife of David James Taylor, passed away July 26, 2023.

Born in Seneca, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hightower and Mary Elizabeth Rogers Hightower. Joan was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzles and flowers. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband David James Taylor; daughters, Lisa Posey and husband Kevin of Pendleton and Tammy White and husband Chris of Pendleton; grandchildren, Drew Christian, Keira Christian, and Chloe White; brother, Homer Hightower; sisters, Martha Morgan and husband Frank, Louise Wood, Virginia Blume, and Pam Miller. Mrs. Taylor is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members.

Joan was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Robert Lee Hightower, Jr., A.C. Hightower, and William Hightower; sister, Vivian Hammett.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.

Graveside service will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens, Central, SC.

Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the Taylor family.
