Joan Loftis Wedekind

Joan Loftis Wedekind, 75, of Greenville, wife of the late Russell F. Wedekind went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Myrtle Crisp Loftis. Joan enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She retired from T&S Brass and was a member of Tremont Church of God where she was very active in many of the church ministries.

She is survived by her two children, SaDonna Buchanan (Jason) and Travis Kay (Candice); four grandchildren, Trevor Buchanan (Taylor), Tyler Buchanan, Carson Kay, and Chandler Kay; her beloved dog, Bella; and many other extended family members who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family is at the residence of her son, Travis Kay.
