Jobie C. Swygert

Jobie Churchill Swygert, Jr., of Piedmont, husband to Lynn Bowles Swygert, passed peacefully Friday, September 23rd.

Born in Leesville, SC to the late Jobie Churchill Swygert, Sr. and Edythe Boland Swygert.

Jobie was a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church for 40 years.   He was a US Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam, and a member of the American Legion and Sons of Confederate Veterans.

In addition to his parents, Jobie was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Swygert Muse, and his brother, Ross Swygert.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years; nieces, Kathy Speights, Beckie Lawson, Debbie Nicholson, and Cindy Pangle; nephew, Arthur Swygert, Jr.; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Monday, September 26th at 2:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 25th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Piedmont UMC Operating Fund, 31 Main Street, Piedmont, SC 29673.
