Jody Scott Smith, 58, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Gainesville, GA, a son to the late William Don Smith and Ann L. Brown, he was a former master electrician who loved his family, fishing, football, and NASCAR. Mr. Smith was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Between, GA.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his beloved brothers, Richard Smith and Rod Smith, both of Piedmont.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the funeral home.

Private Graveside services will be held at a later date in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
