Joe Walter Edmond, 51, of 131 Jonquil Drive, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.

Born in Seneca, he was a son of the late Olin Frank and Gracie Mae Nicholson Edmond. He worked as a mechanic and loved hunting and carpentry. He was of the Wesleyan faith.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Carol Chastain Edmond of the home; two sons, Joseph Eugene Edmond and wife Courtney, Nathan Harold Edmond and wife Heather all of Easley; three brothers, John Olin Edmond of Liberty, Sam Franklin Edmond of Norris, George Arthur Edmond of Pendleton; two sisters, Elaine Lusk of Walhalla, Charline Crenshaw of Liberty; and three grandchildren, Carter Timothy Edmond, Madalyn Grace Edmond, and Braylen Taylor Edmond. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James Marvin Edmond.

A memorial service will be 3 PM Thursday at Potter's Clay Fellowship with Reverend Carlton Cleveland officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joe Edmond Memorial Fund; c/o Duckett-Robinson; 108 Cross Creek Road; Central, SC 29630.

The family is at the home of Nathan & Heather Edmond; 109 Sherry Lane; Easley, SC 29640.
