Joe Dagnall Ellenburg, 84, of 202 Jasper Street, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home.
Born in Easley, Mr. Ellenburg was a son of the late Clyde D. Ellenburg and the late Jessie Lee Stansell Ellenburg Tripp. He graduated from Easley High School in 1953, and he attended Clemson University and Furman University. After working at Saco Lowell for ten years, he was the co-owner and General Manager of the Red Wing Shoe Store in Greenville for over 40 years. Mr. Ellenburg was a member of First Baptist Church, and he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in Germany.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Huff Ellenburg of the home. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Carlisle Ellenburg.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
