Joe Anderson Looper, 69, of 186 Prince George Road, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late William Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Hester Looper. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and the Bates Masonic Lodge #189 AF & AM.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Marion Smith Looper of the home; a son, Randy Looper of Easley; two step-sons, Bradley Stewart of Greenville, Christopher Stewart of Easley; a daughter, Denise Greene of Six-Mile; four brothers, David Looper, Jim Looper, Jerry Looper, all of Easley, Tommy Looper of Pickens; three sisters, Margaret Moore, Betty Wilson, Barbara Ann Looper, all of Piedmont; and two grandchildren, Phillip Mason, and Kelly Looper. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, John Frank Looper and Whitley Looper.
A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jim Ed Looper officiating.
The family is at the home.
