Johanna Scheer Boom, 82, formerly of Akron, Ohio and wife of the late Abraham A. Boom, Sr., passed away Wednesday February 2, 2011 at Countryside Village.
Mrs. Boom was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, a daughter of the late Willem Scheer and Johanna Kalwij Scheer. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakemore United Methodist Church in Akron, Ohio.
Surviving are three sons, Abraham A. "Tony" Boom, of Canton, Ohio, Michael J. "Mike" Boom, of Easley, SC and Robert "Bob" Boom, of Hazleton, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Jan Scheer and Willem Scheer, both of Amsterdam, Netherlands; a sister, Loes Verstraten, of Bennenbroek, Netherlands; grandchildren, Sarah Fritz, Isaac Boom, April Boom, Keith Boom and Alex Boom; great-grandchildren, Angel Boom, Aiden Boom, Aylana Boom, Aiden Fritz and Brooke Fritz.
No Memorial Services are planned.
