John Timothy Boseman

John Timothy Boseman, 69, of Easley, loving husband of Lisa Plasman Boseman, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Frank Cuthrell Boseman, Sr., and Kathryn Sumrell Boseman. He attended Wingate University. After college John proudly served our Country in the US Navy from 1975 – 1980. John was a member of Siloam Baptist Church for 26 years where he was very involved in teaching Preschool, Sunday School, Children’s Church, and AWANAS, along with being on the Security Team. He was very involved in Boy Scouts of America and was awarded the Ted Dreibrodt Legacy Award. He enjoyed photography, traveling, and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.

In addition to his devoted wife of 34 years, he is survived by his children Kathryn Boseman Johnson (David), of Greer, SC, and Jordan Timothy Boseman (Kristina), of Greenville, SC; a brother, David Sumrell Boseman (Cindi), of Ocala, Fl; a sister Bonnie Boseman Maxfield (Glenn), of Greenbackville, VA; and four grandchildren, Connor, Ava, Noah, and Caleb.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Cuthrell Boseman, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM at Siloam Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
