John Rosmond Brewer, 88, of 13 Webb Street, died Monday, March 09, 2009 at his home.
Born in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late James Wilson and Elizabeth B. McNeely Brewer. He was a member of Tremont Church of God and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the European Theater during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche Tucker Brewer of the home; a son, Johnny Brewer of Greenville and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was predeceased by a son, Mitchell Brewer and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Remembrance Chapel. Burial will follow in WoodLawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Remembrance Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Greenville County, 15 Oregon St. Greenville, SC 29605.
