John Cires, 79, of 113 Blossom Branch Ext., husband of Irene Longo Cires, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at his home.
Born February 24, 1935 in Havana, Cuba, he was a son of the late Urbano and Marina Pou Cires. Mr. Cires was a graduate of the Cuban Naval Academy and has been an American citizen forty-five years. He was a retired maintenance mechanic who loved fishing, sailing, his family and many friends.
In addition to his wife of thirty-two years, he is survived by his daughter, Deborah Philips (Jeff) and Robert Redondo (Stephanie); grandchildren, Mark, Hannah, Ethan and Gabriel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 421 S.E. Main St. Suite 100, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
Arrangements are by Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
