John Paul "Mickey" Davis, Jr.

John Paul "Mickey" Davis, Jr. 76, husband of Betty Turbeville Davis, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
Born in Florence, SC, he was a son of the late John Paul and Mildred Bond Davis of Dillon. He served in the US Army Signal Corps and was stationed in Wurzburg, Germany and Ft. Cotten, NY. He was a longtime employee of J.P. Stevens and later West Point Stevens where he retired in 2001 as the Director of Quality Control. He attended Pendleton United Methodist Church, was a avid and loyal Clemson Tiger fan and rarely missed athletic events. He was a volunteer with Community Care Ministries in Clemson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son John Paul Davis III of Atlanta; daughter, Debra (Colen) Davidson of Cary, NC; brother, Richard (Nicki) Davis of Columbia, SC; and very special grandsons, Cole and Luke Davidson.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Thursday at Pendleton United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10 AM Thursday at the church.
