John Harrison Fowler, Jr., 83, of 506 Asbury Circle, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Royston, GA, the son of the late John Harrison and Decie Fowler, Sr., Mr. Fowler was a retired slaesman and was a member of Easley First United Methodist Church where he a member of the Mt. Olive Sunday School Class and was formerly chairman of the Administrative Board and former Superintendent of the Sunday School. He was formerly president of the Easley Jaycees and the Easley Lion's Club. Mr. Fowler was a veteran of the US Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Williams Fowler of the home; a sister, Evelyn Gaines and husband, Roy, of Toccoa, GA; a sister-in-law, Jean Bonds of Woodruff; four nephews, Stuart Gaines, and Richard, David and Steve Bonds; and two nieces, Connie Gaines and Joy Bonds.
Funeral services wil be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Easley First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Correll and Rev. Ben Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the fellowship hall of the church, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 582, Easley, SC 29641.
The family is at the residence.
