John P. Fruscello, 54, of 307 Southwater Drive, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011, at MUSC.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Mr. Fruscello was a son of Fred Robert Fruscello of Syracuse, New York and the late Mary Alice Petta Fruscello. He graduated from Solvay High School and Keuka College. He went on to study at Albany Medical Center where he earned a Nurse Anesthesia degree. Mr. Fruscello worked as a Nurse Anesthetist at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, and he was a US Navy veteran. He took pride in his work and enjoyed teaching the students. His hobbies included cooking, entertaining family and friends, reading, watching Fox News, and boating.
In addition to his father, surviving are his wife, Carole Johnson Fruscello, of the home; three daughters, Aubree Fruscello of Dubais, Meggan Mary Fruscello Correll (Josh) of Fayetteville, NC, and Kara Anne Fruscello, of Seneca, SC; five brothers, Tony Fruscello (Bonnie), Fred Fruscello (Betsy), Dominic Fruscello (Karen), Paul Fruscello (Chris), and Mike Fruscello (Maria); three sisters, Roseanne Flaherty (Mickey), Libby Saya, Carla Ceconi (Dan); one granddaughter, Miah Marie Correll of Fayetteville, NC. In addition to his mother, John was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Mike Saya.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
