John B. Garren, 85, of Greenville, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Oakmont East Living Center.
Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Frank and Bessie Littlejohn Garren, Mr. Garren attended Brevard College and the University of South Carolina. He retired from J.E. Sirrine Company and was a member of Lee Road United Methodist Church. Mr. Garren was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a brother, Don M. Garren and wife Norma, of Liberty and eight nieces and 3 nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Garren was predeceased by three brothers, Frank Littlejohn Garren, Bissell Benjamin Garren and Manning Hayes Garren, and by a sister, Dorothy Ann Garren.
Funeral and committal services will be 3 PM, Sunday, in the Chapel of Remembrance of Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 2:30 to 3 PM, prior to the service in the chapel.
The family is at their respective homes.
