John Edward Harvell

John Edward Harvell, 90, of 20 Speed Street, died Friday, December 1, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Greenville he was a son of the late John Lewis and Lillie Hudson Harvell. He retired from Davis Electrical and was a member of Tremont Church of God, the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class, and the Golden Gems Senior Adult Fellowship. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his wife Mattie Mullinax Harvell of the home; one son, Charles Lewis Harvell and his wife Elaine of Marietta, Georgia; two daughters, Darlene Harvell Mullinax and her husband Gary of Greenville, and Dawn Harvell Cantrell of Greenville; four brothers, Major Harvell, Joe Harvell, Jack Harvell and Frank Harvell all of Greenville; two sisters, Ruth Dodson of Greenville and Marie Holden of Greenville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Bell and three brothers, Fred Harvell, Billy Harvell and Hueldon Harvell.
Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday at Tremont Church of God with burial to follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home.
