John William "Bill" Hendrick, 83, of 363 North Mt. Tabor Church Road, died Monday, September 15, 2008, at his home.
Born in Hart County, Georgia, a son of the late Albert Howard and Cora Hunt Hendrick, Mr. Hendrick was a US Navy Veteran of WW II. He was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church in Bowman, Georgia and was retired from General Electric.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Seymour Hendrick of the home; a daughter, Barbara Black (John) of Easley, two granddaughters, Amy Howard (Brett) of Pickens and Kathy Black of Easley and a brother, Plummer Hendrick of Elberton, Georgia. Mr. Hendrick was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Jean Hendrick and a son, James Sydney Hendrick.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman, Georgia.
Visitation will be from 7:00-8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence.
