Mr. John Wayne Hill, 75, husband of Barbara Galloway Hill, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Born in Savannah, GA, a son of the late Charles Vincent Hill, Sr. and the late Bertha Florene Price Hill, Mr. Hill was an Auto Body Technician for thirty years and retired from Upstate Trucking. He was a member of Woodside Church of God. John was a friend to all, a peacemaker, and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of twenty-seven years, are his daughters, Kimberly McGaha of Powdersville, Lezlie Cardwell of Oklahoma, and Christina Cox of Destin, FL; a brother, Sandy Hill (Lydia) of Greenville; four sisters, Jean Smith (Raymond) of Greenville, Sherry Phagan (Chuck) of Anderson, Gail Smith of Greenville, and Betty Stewart of Laurens; six grandchildren, Jonathan Boggs, Joshua Boggs, Dezeraye Cardwell, Heather Al Masri, Brittney Lane, and Sam Lane; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was predeceased by three brothers, Charles Hill, Robert Hill, and Bobby Hill.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
