John Hoffman, 88, of Country Side Village and husband of Mary Margaret Hoffman died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, he was a son of the late Aloiz and Sabina K. Hoffman. He was a graduate of NY State University and was a Chemist with Fouke Fur Company. Mr. Hoffman loved bowling, playing the Harmonica and was an expert at Horse Shoes. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Hoffman.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: sons, John B. Hoffman, Jr. of Greenville and Ed Hoffman of Columbia; daughters, Mary Rose Callahan (Bobby) of Washington, N.J. and Jane Pingley (Ron) of Piedmont; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home Chapel-Downtown.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
