Mr. John Charles Jefferson, Jr., 65, husband of Debby (Venable) Jefferson, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home.

Born in Long Branch, NJ, a son of John C. Jefferson and the late Dorothy (Sullivan) Jefferson, and grew up in Port Monmouth, NJ, Mr. Jefferson was a retired roofer for Local 4 in Newark, NJ. John was an avid outdoorsman who knew his way around the woods. He loved nature, fishing, hunting, boating, NASCAR racing, gardening, and cooking. He was also a member for 42 years of Elks Lodge #2402, in Eatontown, NJ.

In addition to his mother, John was predeceased by a brother, Richard Jefferson.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Debby, of 35 years, are siblings, Donna Frankel (Ronnie); William Jefferson (Ramona), Bret Jefferson (Regina); Darla Crawford (Jody), and Elvira Wyman (Ricky); his dog and faithful companion, Sully; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Chapel at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 West Main St., Easley.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
