John Bautista Leopard, 66 of Easley passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1951 he moved with his family to the Upstate area of South Carolina in 1959. John graduated from Berea High School in 1971 a member of the Honor Society and Beta Club. After completing his pre-Pharmacy requirements at Clemson University, John graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1976 with Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy. After 39 years of service with the Greenville Hospital System, John retired to enjoy his pets (Rhom, Bacchus, Harry Winston & Oreo) travel and antiquing.
John was the son of Carmen Martinez Lleo Leopard and Vicente Gares, stepson of David Leopard of Piedmont, SC. He is survived by his husband of the home Charles Floyd, his mother Carmen Martinez Lleo Leopard (Piedmont), a brother Danny Leopard and two sisters Terri Smith and Linda Leopard. John is predeceased by two brothers, David and Ricky and his stepfather David Leopard.
After cremation, a Memorial service will be at Robinson Funeral Home at 1425 Powdersville Rd. Easley, SC 29642, on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00pm.
Very special Thanks goes out to our many friends and family that have been with us throughout this journey, Dr. Alex Parikh, Dr. Mark O'Rourke and the Oncology staff at GHS and at the Cancer Center.
