John Fletcher "Jack" Merrill, 74, of Seneca , husband of Raenota Storm Maas Merrill, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Carl and Laura Fletcher Merrill. Jack was an retired electical engineer with IBM having spent most of his working career in the Raleigh, NC area. He moved to Seneca in 2000 and was a long-time volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity Store in Seneca, a Master Gardener, a member of the Keowee Key History Club and was a former volunteer with the Central Railway Model & Historical Association. He was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church where he served on the Building and Grounds Ministry.

Surviving in addition to his wife are stepsons, Rick Pace of Travelers Rest and Brian Maas of Greenville, SC; stepdaughters, Leanne Allvin (Paul) of Walled Lake, MI and Michelle Streeter of Raleigh, NC; sister, Sue Rozelle of Apalachin, NY; grandchildren, Nathan Allvin, Rachel Allvin, Rick Pace, J.D. Pace, and John Pace and great-grandson Rick Pace.

Memorial services will be 11 AM, Saturday, May 2 at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Laura Conrad officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in Tartan Hall at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Bridging Generations Capital Campaign Fund or the Mission Outreach Fund at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, 101 Edgewood Ave, Clemson, SC 29631.
