John Luman Moore, Jr., 63, of 502 Squire Circle, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Greenville, SC.
Born in Sanford, NC, he was a son of Virginia Carter Moore of Angier, NC and the late John Luman Moore, Sr.
John was a 1970 graduate of Duke University and was a civil engineer with Duke Energy for 41 years. He was a member of Clemson United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons, John Matthew Moore and wife, Sandra of Greenville, SC, Aaron Kemp Moore and wife, Nicia of Charlotte, NC, David Samuel Moore and Jonathan Allan Moore both of Clemson; brother, Ken Moore of Conway, SC; sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Angier, NC and Ginny Starnes of Ft. Mill, SC; and 4 grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his wife Amanda Childress Moore.
Memorial services will be 3 PM, Sunday at Clemson United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Kelley officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Clemson United Methodist Church, 300 Frontage Road, Clemson, SC 29631, American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615, or Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
