John T. Moore

John Thomas Moore, 97, of Easley, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late John F. and Lucille Gibbons Moore.
Mr. Moore was a graduate of Northwestern University and retired from International Harvester after 37 years. He was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church and served as an officer in the US Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during WW II. He loved his family and friends, and will be missed by all those who loved him so dearly, especially his devoted wife and best friend, Jean. They traveled the world together. John was proud to have visited all 50 states.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Jean Louise Lind; children, David John Moore (Nanjoo) of New York City, Jeffrey Lind Moore (Debbie) of Rock Island, IL and Laura Moore Cook ( Mark) of Easley; grandchildren, Tessa Taylor (Garison), Ryan Cook (Lauren), Christopher J. Moore (Christie), Alexis Moore, Joel Cook (Teresa), Abby Cook, Elizabeth Moore and Katherine Moore; great grandchildren, Jean Louise Taylor, Jon Cameron Taylor, Reece Cook, Richard Garison Taylor IV, Dean Cook, Sienna Ioanna Moore and Audrey Cook.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Easley Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be in Robinson Memorial Gardens Bell Tower Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Easley Presbyterian Benevolent Fund at Easley Presbyterian Church, 200 S. 1st Street, Easley, SC 29640.
