John Cecil Rhinehart, 79, beloved husband of Margaret Ruth “Peggy” Tyndall Rhinehart, passed away January 4, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.


Born in Madison County, NC, he was the son of the late John Jake Rinehart and Carrie Coward Rinehart.  Mr. Rhinehart retired from English Card Clothing and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp.


Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, John Cecil Rhinehart, Jr. (Dana) of Easley and Carey Michael Rhinehart (Wilma) of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Shanna Hash (James), Mickey Rhinehart (Ashley), John Andrew Rhinehart (Ashley), Bradley Rhinehart (Deanna), Brandon Williams, J. J. Williams and Carrie Adell Rhinehart; four great-grandchildren, Justin Hash, Mason Rhinehart, Jennifer Williams and John Weston Rhinehart; sisters, Alene Holt, Dorothy Berry.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Rhinehart was predeceased by an infant son, Norman Eugene Rhinehart; daughter, Margaret Jeanine Rhinehart; five brothers and one sister. 


Graveside services will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:45AM at Greenville Memorial Gardens. 


Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2016, at 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the graveside service.


The family is at the home of John and Dana Rhinehart.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC  29615 or West Gantt First Baptist Church, 1452 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC  29605.
