John Robert "Bob" Tuten

John Robert “Bob” Tuten, 61, of Liberty, husband to Janice Robinson Tuten, went home to the Lord on August 22, 2022 after a long battle with ALS.

Born in Beaufort, SC, he is the son of Curtis R. Tuten and the late Margaret Hibbs Tuten. Bob grew up in Edgefield, SC and graduated from Clemson University, where he and Janice met. He worked as a land surveyor for many years and was a member of the Northwest Chapter of Professional Land Surveyors. Bob was an active member of Clemson Presbyterian Church and the Joint Heirs Sunday School class. When not working he enjoyed hunting and working on his farm.

Mr. Tuten is survived by his wife, Janice Robinson Tuten; children, Michelle Tuten of Liberty and Kevin Tuten and wife Mary-Catherine of Greenville; father, Curtis R. Tuten of Edgefield; grandchildren, Margaret, Emma Cate and John Miles; brother, Charles William “Bill” Tuten and wife Tina of Greer.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Clemson Presbyterian Church, 346 Old Greenville Highway, Clemson, SC 29631. The family will receive friends following the service.
