John F. Tutt, Sr.

John Franklin Tutt, Sr., 84, of 100-A Pinnicle Lane, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Macon, GA, a son of the late Jefferson W. and Freda Schofield Tutt, Mr. Tutt attended Mercer University, The Citidal and graduated from Georgia Tech. He retired as a textile engineer with American Enka and Glen-Raven Mills, and was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church. Mr. Tutt was a veteran of World War II having served with the US Army Air Corps.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo Coppinger Tutt of the home; a son, John F. Tutt Jr., and his wife, Sharon, of Easley; a daughter, Ginny Jordan and her husband, John, of Cary, NC; a sister, Adelaide "Teenie" Veal of Macon, GA; seven grandchildren, Adam Campbell, Susan Riddick, Jeremy Tutt, William Jordan, Brad Smith, Sean Smith and Nate Smith; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm.m Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Bill Seel officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Easley Presbyterian Church, 200 South First Street, Easley, SC 29640.
