John Rodgers Volpe

John Rodgers Volpe, 78, loving husband of Susan Marie Hyde, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born on August 11, 1947, in Warren, OH, to the late Lewis Volpe and the late Eleanor Bomatti Volpe. John was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville.

John graduated from Case Institute of Technology and began his profession as an Electrical Engineer in Ohio, retiring locally from GE Power Systems.

Outside of work, he enjoyed gardening, driving his FIAT spider and working on various projects around the house. He was known for his ability to fix almost anything, electrical or mechanical.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by step-son, Michael Hyde and sister, Eleanor Pennington (Carl).

Along with his wife of 43 years, he is survived by daughters, Renee Volpe Voegerl (Bob) and Arlin Volpe Stavnicky; sons, John Nathan Hyde-Volpe and David Louis Hyde-Volpe (Erika); grandchildren, Stephen, Sean, and Soren Stavnicky and Caleb Hyde-Volpe; sisters, Nikki Caccarozzo (Joseph) and Rose Wills (Dave) and a brother, Vernon Volpe (Laurie).

John Rodgers Volpe will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

A private family entombment will be held in Glen Vista Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
