John N. Williams II, 91, husband of Eulalah East Williams died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Clemson Downs.

Born in Etowah County, Alabama, he was the son of the late John N. and Fannie Harbour Williams. He was a graduate of Auburn University, earned his Masters Degree from Mississippi State University and his PhD from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He retired from Clemson University as professor emeritus, Animal Science. He was a mason, and a U.S.Army veteran who served in Korea.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 5 daughters, Eva (John) Moody of Atlanta, Lynda (Don) Boroughs of Greer, Melanie (Donnie) Prater of Hot Springs, NC, Janet Moore of Central, and Lesa (Stephen) Seigler of Seneca; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

John N, a man of deep faith, loved and valued his family. He was an avid reader, enjoyed travel, fine woodworking, gardening, beekeeping and shaped note singing.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with a graveside service at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, Alabama on Monday, June 19th at 11:00 A.M.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
