Mr. John Chasteney Wyatt, Sr., loving husband to Susan Senter Wyatt, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his home.
Born in Fitchburg, MA, son to the late Kenneth Hall Wyatt and Rebecca Chasteney Wyatt, he was a retired Accountant, Hospice Chaplain, and Associate Pastor for Heritage Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, John C. Wyatt, Jr. (Lori) of Billerica, MA; daughters, Eva May Chase (John) of Billerica, MA, Jennifer Jean Murphy of Lunenburg, MA, Amy Harper Branch (Ray), and Sarah Elizabeth Holt (Donald) both of Easley; sisters, Penny Sauliner of North Hampton, MA, Deborah Marks (Parker) of Middlebury, VT, and Janet Labelle of Hudson, MA; and grandchildren, Amy Chase of Billerica, MA, Thomas J. Gibson, III of Waltham, MA, Christopher Wyatt of Salem, NH, Brittany Gibson of Easley, Shane Murphy, and Grace Murphy, both of Lunenburg, MA.
Along with his parents, Mr. Wyatt was predeceased by brothers, David Wyatt and Richard Gist; a sister, Elizabeth Thornton; a brother-in-law, John Sauliner; and a son-in-law, William Murphy.
Mr. Wyatt was a devoted man of God who loved his family, always taught his children and grandchildren to do the right thing and to love each other above all else. He enjoyed making people smile and he had a love for trains and stamp collecting.
The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Easley First Baptist.
Receiving of friends will be held directly after the service, at the church.
