Johnnie William Wardlaw, Jr. 77, husband of Yasue Sano "Susie" Wardlaw, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Oconee Medical Center. A native of Pickens County he was the son of the late Johnnie W. and Helen Shirley Wardlaw, Sr. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by brother-in-law, Leland Dobson; nephew, Mike Dobson and his wife Gail and a special great-niece, Jennifer L. Dobson. He was predeceased by a sister, Martha Sue Dobson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4pm on Monday at the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 3-4pm Monday prior to the service.
