Johnny Lee Dyar, Sr.

Johnny Lee Dyar, Sr., 74, of 107 Gordon Drive, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Lee Ander and Mozelle Gordon Dyar. Johnny was a retired Assistant to the Dean of the School of Nursing at Clemson. He was a Vietnam Era veteran and a former member of the US Army reserves. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny Lee Dyar, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Bryan (Jodie) Dyar of Piedmont, SC; sister, Linda D. (Bill) Golightly of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a cousin, Blanche T. Jackson; and numerous other first cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Judi Every Dyar.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 PM, Thursday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday at Old Stone Church Cemetery, Clemson.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice.
