Mr. John "Johnny" Calvin Turpin, Jr., 70, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, the son of the late John Calvin Turpin, Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Derrick Turpin, Mr. Turpin was a graduate of Daniel High School and retired from Steel Heddle. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Tamela "Wendy" McClellan (Hugh) of Easley, and Angela "Chris" Allen (Mark) of Central; his former wife, Sandra L. Turpin; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to the animal rescue of one's choice.
