Joseph Brewer,79,formerly of 2234 Norris Highway,passed away Tuesday, June 29,2010 at Cottingham Hospice House, Seneca, SC.
Born in Central, a son of the late Samuel and Etta Estelle Bell Brewer, Mr. Brewer was a retired Truck Driver and a veteran of the US Army, he was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife,Virginia Alice Willis Brewer of the home;one son, Richard Brewer; four daughters, Jo Ann Barnes(Stanley) of Central, Janet Lee Brewer of Central, Debbie Whitmire(Steve)of Liberty, Pattie Brewer of the home; three brothers, Robert Brewer of Central, Rex Brewer of Clemson, and Raymond Brewer of Liberty; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was predeceased by several brothers and sisters; two grandchildren, Carrie and Jennifer.
Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, with Rev.Brian Aiken and Rev. Michael Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Zion Cemetery, Central.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.
The family is at the home of Jo Ann Barnes, 120 Moore Street, Central, SC.
