Joseph C. Christ

Joseph Charles Christ, 79, husband of Sarah Ellison Christ, died, Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. A native of Long Island, NY, he was the son of the late Emmanuel J. and Caroline Waring Christ. He was a member of the Six Mile Fire District Board and had been a volunteer fireman for 20 years. He was also a Commissioner of the Soil & Water Commission and was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens.

Beside his wife he is survived by a son Randall Christ and wife Robin of Simpsonville; daughter, Amy Colquhoun and husband Steve of Taylors and grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley and Kathleen Colquhoun and Daniel and Caroline Christ.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10am Tuesday; there will be a Rosary at 7pm on Monday at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 7:30-9pm at the funeral home.
