Joseph "Joe" G. Greer, 81, of 100 Pearson Road, went to be with the Lord Monday April 16, 2012 at Capstone Health and Rehab.

Mr. Greer was born in Easley, SC, a son of the late William E. and Cora Lee Thomas Greer. He retired from Reliance Electric Company and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Hayes Edens Greer, of the home; three sons, Charles Greer, of Moore, SC, David Greer, of Greer, SC, and Joseph T. Greer, of Easley, SC; a step son, Jack Edens, of Easley, SC; a daughter, Leanne Gomez, of Greenville, SC; and a step-daughter, Jana Kay, of Townville, SC; 14 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Glenn Greer; 6 brothers and 3 sisters and a granddaughter, Joann Fortner.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with the Reverend Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
