Joseph "Tony" Holcombe, 62, of, 108 Buckhorn Lane, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, a son of Joseph Ralph and Syble Waldrop Holcombe of Easley, Mr. Holcombe was owner/operator of Easley Septic Tank Sales and a member of Lake View Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the U.S. Navy.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Shirley Esuary Holcombe of the home; a son, Joseph Timothy Holcombe (Alissa) of Easley; a daughter, Angela Marie Dodgens (Wade) of Easley; a brother, Wayne Holcombe (Lavern) of Easley; and five grandchildren, Craig and Abbi Dodgens and Amber, Caleb and Chloe Holcombe.
Mr. Holcombe was predeceased by a brother, Danny Holcombe.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Lake View Baptist Church . Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Holcombe is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m Wednesday and will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
