Joseph James Kelly

Joseph James Kelly, 86, of Eighteen Mile Road in Central entered into the Portals of Heaven on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Joseph was born on February 26, 1936 to Lexia and Marvin Kelly.
 
Joseph loved the Lord with all his heart and remained faithful until God called him home. When in good health and able, Joe loved hunting, fishing, working in the garden and taking care of his animals and chickens. Joe and his wife, Sara worked many happy years together in the ministry from pastoring to District Overseer, to evangelistic work. He was a member at The Church of God at Rice’s Creek in Liberty.
 
Leaving behind to cherish all his memories are his wife of 63 years, Sara; his son, Maurice Kelly; his daughter, Juanita Durham; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Alton Kelly; and many friends.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 25th at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd, Central.
 
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central.
