JOSEPH L. LINER

Joseph Lee Liner, 63, of 120 Dustin Street, died Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Asheville, NC, he was a son of Katherine Gay Liner of Asheville, NC and the late Harry Lee Liner. Mr. Liner worked in textiles and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where he was a teacher in the Children's Department for 20 years, designed and built the set for the "Passion Play", and was a devout Christian and servant. He was a Mason and a veteran of the US Air Force having served his country from 1961 - 1965.
Surviving are his wife, of 39 years, Jean Allen Liner; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Angie M. Liner of Greenville, Brandon Ryan and Kasey K. Liner of Easley; two brothers, Ronald Liner of Greenville, Jerry Liner of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Payton Liner, Jayda Liner, Ryan Liner; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Gail Allen of Navarre, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Rodney Graham and Bill Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and will be placed in the church at 2:00 PM Saturday.
Honorary escorts will be the Children's Department of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
